Is it just me, or are random days off one of the best things EVER!?!? We’ve had a few this year, and Jorden just mentioned to me that he has off next Monday for President’s Day. Definitely random….but we’ll take it! Actually, I couldn’t be more excited. Because a random day off means a break from routine…..which, in my world, is always welcome.
And do you know what else a random day off means? A chance to break out of the food rut that’s oh so easy to fall into: bagels for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, and something quick and easy for dinner. When Jorden is home all day, there’s so much more chance of eating well!
In my dreams, we’ll start the day off with a hot cup of coffee and a delicious breakfast, like these Breakfast Cheesesteaks. But. The reality is our mornings are a little crazy….even with two adults home. Between getting the kids up and ready and dealing with their morning moods and making sure they all get off to school on time, it’s unlikely that we’ll find an extra moment for anything as tasty as these. Which is why it’s even more exciting that we have ALL DAY!
Because the only thing better than a delicious breakfast is a delicious BRINNER!!! Am I right? And these Breakfast Cheesesteaks are perfect for both. With French toast, Jones Dairy Farm Chicken Sausage, eggs, peppers, onions, and cheese, they’re the perfect breakfast/dinner mash-up. And just in case you’re looking for more delicious brinner ideas, Jones Dairy Farm has you covered! In honor of National Hot Breakfast Month, Jones has compiled over 75 brinner recipes – perfect for those of us who love a hot breakfast, but can’t always make it in the morning.
In addition to the recipes, Jones has step-by-step instructions for cooking bacon, sausage and eggs, and interactive quizzes to help visitors identify their brinner style and find a Jones product that fits their taste preferences. The quizzes are seriously fun, and a great way to get started! And if you’ve never tried Jones Dairy Farm products, I would highly recommend them. The Chicken Sausage Patties I used in this recipe are ready in under 10 minutes and are my new go-to breakfast sausage. Best of all, they’re available in the freezer section at grocery stores nationwide.
So. Whether you wait for a random day off or just choose any old weeknight, you HAVE to try these cheesesteaks! And since February is National Hot Breakfast month….it might as well be soon!
