Pineapple Margaritas are a sweet, refreshing, tropical twist on the original. Made with just 4 simple ingredients, they’re the perfect drink for happy hour, taco night, or Cinco de Mayo!
I don’t know about you, but I’m always on the lookout for fun new margarita recipes. Don’t get me wrong… I love a good classic margarita… but there’s something about switching it up that always intrigues me.
Whether it’s different fruit flavors like my Frozen Mango Margarita or more savory flavors like my delicious Cucumber Margarita… I always feel like the more variety, the better! (And I absolutely adore a spicy Jalapeño Margarita!)
So it’s no wonder that this Pineapple Margarita is right up my alley. It has the look and feel of a classic margarita on the rocks, but with a fun tropical pineapple twist. Which still happens to pair perfectly with all your favorite Mexican foods!
what you’ll need for this recipe
Tequila – Tequila is the main liquor used to make margaritas. I typically prefer silver tequila (tequila blanco) because it has a mild flavor that doesn’t overpower the other flavors in the drink.
Pineapple juice – Pineapple juice adds a deliciously sweet, tropical flavor to the margaritas. I used 100% pineapple juice, but you could also use a blend.
Simple syrup – Homemade simple syrup gives this recipe sweetness and allows you to easily adjust it according to your tastes.
Lime juice – Fresh lime juice is a key adds delicious citrus flavor and balances out the sweetness of the margarita.
Garnishes – Use fresh lime wedges or pineapple wedges to garnish the glasses.

If I could choose one kind of fruity margarita to sip on, pineapple would definitely be it. It’s noon on a Tuesday and I’m craving this. 🙂

WHAT IS SIMPLE SYRUP?
Kandace says
Simple Syrup is equal parts of water and sugar in a saucepan heated until sugar is dissolved. Cool completely then store in a glass container and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks. Add it to drinks, etc that asks for simple syrup.
