When it comes to snacking, chips & salsa are always at the top of the list. You just can’t go wrong with the combination of crispy tortilla chips and fresh, homemade salsa. And the best part about it is all the different possibilities!
I’m always a fan of a good restaurant style salsa (especially with a kick) but I also love mixing it up from time to time. And this delicious Fruit Salsa is one of my favorite variations!
Made with a combination of fresh pineapple, mango, and strawberries, it’s perfectly sweet with a tropical twist. It’s delicious served over chicken, fish, or shrimp tacos… and it’s EXTRA delicious with cinnamon sugar tortilla crisps.
And I love that it’s SO easy to make!
what you’ll need for this recipe
Fruit – Fruit is the main ingredient in this recipe. I used a combination of fresh mango, strawberries, and pineapple, but you can feel free to use any types of fruit you enjoy. Apples, peaches, pears, berries, grapes and kiwi would all be delicious!
Lemons & limes – I used a combination of lemon juice and lime zest in the dressing. You can use either fresh or bottled lemon juice OR substitute lime juice instead.
Honey – I added a touch of honey to the lemon juice to balance out the tartness of the lemon. Feel free to substitute sugar, agave, or any sweetener you prefer.
Poppy seeds – I also added poppy seeds to the dressing, just for fun. Feel free to omit them if you prefer.
