This Frozen Peach Slush is a delicious blend of citrus, peach tea, peach schnapps, and brandy…topped off with your favorite sparkling soda! Perfect for parties, special occasions, or lazy summer days. The perfect drink for summer!
So I’ve been doing this blogging thing for 3 1/2 years now…..and I still have a moment of panic any time someone tells me they tried one of my recipes. Why? I have no idea. After all, it’s not like I put just anything on my blog. It has to be deemed blog-worthy (aka delicious), something I would gladly serve to family and friends, something I want to make and eat (or drink) again and again and again, something that’s totally “worth it” on all accounts.
So when we showed up in Michigan recently for a family reunion with Jorden’s family, and our lovely hostess told me she had a pitcher of my Peach Melba Sangria chilling in the fridge, my heart skipped a little beat. And when she told me she planned to make my Cookie Butter Morning Buns for breakfast while we were there, all I could do was hope and pray they were actually as good as I remembered them!
Well, we enjoyed the sangria that night….and, thank goodness, it was delicious! The perfect accompaniment to nice weather, good conversation, and long-awaited time with family we don’t get to see nearly enough. And when I woke up the next morning to the smell of coffee brewing, I knew it was only a matter of time before the morning buns would make their appearance. And when they did, I took a deep breath, bit in, and breathed a huge sigh of relief. Also delicious. And totally “worth it”.
Speaking of “worth it”, I have to admit there’s always a part of me that wonders whether our trips to Michigan are worth it. Or actually, trips in general. Because traveling with kids is stressful! Between packing and cleaning and preparing and driving and sleeping away from home….it’s kind of a recipe for disaster. Not to mention the aftermath.
But every year in Michigan, I’m reminded of why we do it. Because it’s good for the kids. And good for us. It’s time spend with family….and that is ALWAYS worth it! And next time that side of the family heads this way, which we’re hoping is soon, I know exactly what I’ll be serving: Frozen Peach Slush! It’s based on my Holiday Brandy Slush, but this one is packed with delicious peach flavor and spiked with brandy and peach schnapps. So it’s PERFECT for summer! And guaranteed to become a favorite.
My favorite thing about this Frozen Peach Slush? You make it in advance, and it’s all set to serve a crowd. Which makes it ideal for parties or gatherings or family reunions! In fact, I plan to have a batch of it in my freezer all summer long….because you can never be too ready….and you can never have too much slush. You know I’m right.

Arg, it is so true. I see a new comment and have a little panic attack that it is going to be negative! I love peaches in drink form, and this totally reminds me of my beloved peach Bellini 🙂

Can this be made as a punch without freezing?
Cathy Trochelman says

This looks like the perfect frosty drink for summertime! 🙂 And how funny that your friend made a couple of your recipes… FOR YOU, lol. I would probably panic a little too. I mean, what if they didn’t turn out right?? (Not that you had anything to be worried about, but I get it. 😉 )

Years ago I had this recipe and loved it (back then there weren’t peach tea bags). Can’t wait to try this one as I lost the recipe after down-sizing and moving.

Have you ever made a slush like this using Crown Royal Peach?
Cathy Trochelman says
I haven’t tried it, but I bet it would be delicious!

For the Frozen Peach Slush recipe, it looks so good and I would like to make it for friends at a garden party I’m planning. But there are some abbreviations I don’t understand. What do you mean by 9c.? Does it mean 9 cups, I don’t understand what the c. is for. Also, what is peach tea bags, I can not find this is the stores here. Where can I buy peach tea bags? There is another word I don’ t understand, the word steep, what does it mean? I looked it up in the dictionary and what I found had nothing to do with a recipe, (sorry I’m not English speaking, I’m French). I love your recipes and made a lot of them and they were always very good. Thank you for sharing. Most of all thank you answering this request. Have a good day.
Bye bye.
Cecilia

Hi Cecilia, Yes c. means cups. As for the tea, you can use any type of tea you can find and enjoy. The word “steep” basically means soak. I hope this answers all your questions!
