Robins Egg Dip deliciously creamy and packed with the flavor of malted milk balls! Made with just 4 ingredients, it’s the perfect sweet treat and a great way to use up leftover Easter candy!
Have you ever been to an Easter Egg Hunt? You know…. the kind put on by parks or libraries or community centers? Back in the day, I used to take my kids to all of them. And honestly? As much as I miss my kids being little… I definitely DON’T miss all the “fun” activities that went along with it!
No… I’m much happier celebrating holidays in my own way… namely, with food. Like this delicious Robins Egg Dip! Made with a delicious mixture of cream cheese, powdered sugar, malt powder, and Robins Eggs, this dip takes me back to those little kid days… just in a much more enjoyable way!
It’s quick and easy to make and the perfect way to use up extra Easter candy. Plus… it’s a guaranteed hit with the kids and adults, alike!
what you’ll need for this recipe
Cream cheese – Cream cheese creates the creamy base of this dip. I used 8 ounces of plain cream cheese, softened to room temperature.
Powdered sugar – I added 3/4 cup of powdered sugar to sweeten the dip.
Malt powder – I also added 1/4 cup of malt powder for additional sweetness and extra malt flavor. I used Carnation Malted Milk, which can be found near the hot chocolate, coffee & tea.
Robins Eggs – I stirred in 1/2 cup of crushed Robins Eggs candy, which is sold during the Easter season. To make this dip year round, simply substitute another type of malted milk balls.

I’ve never been to an egg hunt before since I don’t have kids, but my neighborhood throws one every year at the park by my house. Looks like a lot of fun! This dip looks incredible, Cathy! I think I would keep this all to myself!

I used up all my energy on the first one! The second one, well, at least I get her dressed in the morning. ;-)))
But, uhm, I WANT THIS DIP! I’ll take the bowl and a spoon, and live a very happy few minutes!

This is absolutely beautiful!! Loving these pics Cathy! I totally know what you mean about using up the fun stuff with the first two kids! I have a 6 year gap between my kids so I’m either making my 9 and 11 year old do silly little kid activities or I’m toting along a 2 and 1 year old to older kid activities. Either way.. someone is missing out! Maybe this dip will make them all forget about it 🙂

We always keep is low key with the kids. I am definitely all for doing something at home then going out and trying to fight the masses. What fun is that? And this dip! Yes please! Now I need to go buy some robins eggs!
