Sweet, tangy lemon dip – made with just 5 delicious ingredients and packed with delicious lemon flavor!
If there’s one thing you should know about me it’s that I’m all about quick and easy recipes. Truth be told, I get overwhelmed by recipes that aren’t quick and easy! Especially when it comes to people visiting.
There’s always too much else to think about in that short time before they arrive – like when is the last time I showered? and how quickly can I clean up this disaster of a house? Of course I want to serve them something delicious, but it can’t overwhelm me or I’ll REALLY never see people!
This Creamy Lemon Dip is the perfect last minute recipe… made with just 5 ingredients and perfect for last minute guests. It’s lightly sweet without being too sweet, and perfectly lemon flavored with the help of lemon curd. It’s so easy you’ll be glad to be social, and so delicious your friends will be glad to make the trip!
what you’ll need for this recipe
Cream cheese – Cream cheese is the base of this dip. I used 8 ounces of plain cream cheese, softened to room temperature.
Plain Greek yogurt – I added 1/2 cup of plain Greek yogurt to the cream cheese to lighten the texture and make it more dippable. You can also use lemon or vanilla flavored yogurt if you prefer.
Lemon curd – I used 1/2 cup of lemon curd to sweeten the dip and give it its delicious flavor. You can use either store bought or homemade lemon curd.
Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract balances out the lemon flavor. I used pure vanilla.
Lemon zest – I also used the zest of 1 lemon for a fresh lemon zip.
how to make creamy lemon dip
This dip truly couldn’t be easier to make. Simply combine all the ingredients in a medium mixing bowl and blend with a hand mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Garnish with additional lemon zest as desired.
what you’ll love about this recipe
- It’s quick and easy – This 5 ingredient dip couldn’t be easier to make. Just combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix!
- It’s perfectly sweet – Sweetened with lemon curd, this dip has delicious lemon flavor without being overly sweet. (*For a sweeter dip, feel free to use flavored yogurt!)
- It’s delicious year round – Unlike some fruits, lemon is one of those flavors that never goes out of season. So you can feel free to enjoy this dip all year round!
