Homemade Holiday Coffee Creamers - Eggnog, Gingerbread, & Vanilla Mint!

When it comes to coffee, I’m solidly a 2 cup a day kind of gal. WITH cream! Over the years, I’ve tried my best to get into black coffee. But for whatever reason, I just can’t do it.

So instead, I’ve gone through different phases. I’ve had my flavored creamer phase, my flavored syrup phase, my cream and honey phase, and my straight half and half phase. But every year… without fail… I’ve made these holiday coffee creamers.

Because as much as I like the idea of appreciating coffee for what it is, the reality is that I appreciate it more with cream. And even MORE with some fun flavor additions!

These three flavored coffee creamers are super easy to make and only need a handful of ingredients. Try them all or choose your favorite… either way, your morning coffee is about to get so much tastier!

what you’ll need for these recipes

Half & half – Half & half is my go-to coffee creamer and the base of these flavored creamer recipes. I used 1 3/4 cups of half and half for each flavor of creamer. For a lighter version, you could substitute milk.

Sweetened condensed milk – Sweetened condensed milk blends perfectly with the half and half and gives these creamers the sweetness they need. I used one 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk for each flavor of creamer.

Flavorings – Last but not least, I used a variety of spices, extracts, and flavorings for these creamers. For the eggnog creamer I used rum extract and nutmeg; for the gingerbread creamer I used molasses, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg; for the vanilla mint creamer I used vanilla extract and peppermint extract.

Shake well. Shake well to thoroughly mix the ingredients. *Creamers should be shaken before each use.

Store. Store creamers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

pro tip

To try a smaller portion of all 3 flavors, combine 1 3/4 cup half and half with one 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk. Shake well and divide in thirds (1 cup = one third). Add the flavorings to each container, being sure to divide the amounts by 3. Then shake and enjoy!

  1. Yum! I have been wanting to try homemade coffee creamer for so long! I hate the chemical-taste in store bought creamer, but have been too lazy to make my own. This looks so easy!

  2. Love this post! And I must admit, I avoid those certain coffee creamers in the stores because they are full of chemicals (but oh I love them). I really wanted a good recipe for some homeade creamers and these are perfect for the Holiday Season! Thank you! PS – I have those same Gingerbread man plates – love Crate and Barrel!

  3. Love the holidays since that’s usually when I get to see my childhood friends too. These coffee creamers sound delicious and I can’t wait to try them, thanks so much for sharing and hope you have a great week Cathy:)

  4. Not only do these look delicious but the recipes sound delish as well. I am going to make the Gingerbread creamer this week.

  5. The condensed milk leaves a coating on my tongue, or at least it feels like it. I would love to get away from fake creamers. Any others have that “feeling”? Suggestions for what you have tried that works better??

    1. Sorry to hear that. Condensed milk is just milk and sugar….not sure why it would feel that way! You could try just eliminating the condensed milk and using another type of sweetener – agave syrup?

  6. These look and sound delicious! I, too, am curious how long you’d keep them around before they spoil. What do you think? About 2-3 weeks?

  7. The Holiday Creamers are excellent! I made a spin off of the vanilla Peppermint and made it peppermint mocha.
Delicious!! Thanks for sharing these. I will probably never buy store bought creamer again.

    Happy Holidays 🎅🏻🎄

I am interested in trying the egg nog creamer! Is it ok if I leave out the rum extract?
