Chocolate Orange Pretzels are a quick and easy snack that will satisfy your cravings. Chocolate and orange marry in this perfect sweet and salty combination sure to please everyone.
The other day I had the unique experience of Ellia actually wanting to come grocery shopping with me. How nice, I thought. Some mommy/daughter bonding time! Until I realized the only reason she wanted to come with me was because she had seen our next door neighbors drive away a minute earlier and was somehow convinced we would run into them at the grocery store…like there’s no other place they could possibly be going….? Funny how her little mind works.
Well, believe it or not, we didn’t end up running into them (go figure) but we did have a good time together. Apparently the key to painless shopping with Ellia is including her in the decision making. Asking her questions like: Do you think we should we make some chocolate covered pretzels? Milk chocolate or white? What kind of pretzels should we use? What could we add to make them even more delicious? Needless to say she chose the ingredients for these Chocolate Orange Pretzels.
Chocolate Orange Pretzels
She had some pretty clear opinions up until the last question…that one she left up to me 🙂 And when we got home she couldn’t have been more excited about the plan! Because she had been a part of it! She went out of her way to let Greta know what a good time we had together (how quickly she forgot her true intentions…!) and Greta, in turn, was sure to let Ellia know just how much fun she had staying home with Daddy (I’m sure…..)

Regardless, both kids were happy with the way things worked out. And, after taste-testing these pretzels, so was I!
